Distributing FPMT Education Materials

FPMT Education Services is dedicated to making authentic Dharma texts available worldwide. We offer materials in English, Tibetan, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, and other languages.

Most FPMT Education Services materials at Foundation Store are available on a generosity-based model. Donations for these materials help us make more Dharma available in accordance with teachings about Dharma income.

The Foundation Store website provides only digital materials in PDF, epub, mobi, and mp3 formats.

You can order printed versions of most common prayers and practice materials through Amazon’s print-on-demand service in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, UK, and USA.

 

Distribution at teachings, group practices, retreats, or other activities

FPMT affiliates—centers, projects, services, registered teachers, leaders, and individual students—and other spiritual groups wishing to distribute or share Dharma materials available at Foundation Store are encouraged to follow the guidelines listed below.

Digital Distribution

Digital distribution of FPMT Education Service materials by affiliates refers to providing students with access to these materials via websites, emails, and communication platforms such as Zoom, messengers such as WhatsApp, and social media by FPMT-affiliated centres, projects, services, registered teachers, or groups.

We ask that affiliates share direct Foundation Store links instead of sharing or uploading PDFs. This allows students to easily download the most up-to-date materials and manage the files on their own.

If you choose to share PDFs directly via email, communication platforms or messengers with students at specific events, such as teachings or retreats, an offering per copy may be made to the Education Preservation Fund or the Foundation Store when the files are downloaded.

  • Generosity-based materials: A suggested offering of USD $1–$5 per copy
  • Fixed-offering materials: For Foundation Store materials with a fixed offering, such as the FPMT Essential Prayer Book or Retreat Prayer Book, please contact FPMT Education Services for special affiliates rate for orders of 10 or more copies.
Printing and Physical Distribution

Authorized groups may locally print materials by obtaining the material files from the Foundation Store. It is advised to make high quality prints of Dharma texts with a hard cover and holy images as a way to show respect for the Dharma.

Suggested offering of $1–$5 USD per copy either through the Education Preservation Fund or the Foundation Store when the files are downloaded.

For bulk order (10+ copies) of fixed-offering materials such as FPMT Essential Prayer Book or Retreat Prayer Book, please contact FPMT Education Services.
Reproducing Materials

If you wish to reproduce any copyrighted material—including material from titles published by any FPMT-affiliated publishing service, such as the FPMT Education Services, Wisdom Publications, or LYWA—in the form of prints, photocopies, or digital reproductions, it is important to first get permission to reproduce the material in question from the publisher or copyright holder. This is especially true if the use of the material goes beyond what would legally be considered fair use, or if the material will be distributed.

Reproduced material should not be edited or changed in any way.
